The Knight's Tale

Geoffrey Chaucer wrote The Knight's Tale in around 1387.
It was still popular among Elizabethans 200 years later.

It is the first of Chaucer's collection of Canterbury Tales.

When Shakespeare and fellow playwright John Fletcher wrote Two Noble Kinsmen together, they were heavily influenced by this story.
