visitors to Stratford. The Trust Library holds all of the
books seen in Shakespeare's Study. It also cares for several
local buildings relating to Shakespeare's life.

The
Plantin-Moretus Printing Museum
This old printing press in Antwerp, Belgium,
was where life began for a huge range of printed material
in Shakespeare's time. It was Europe's printing capital,
and many early Protestant books were produced here. But
by Shakespeare's time, it had become part of Philip II's
Spanish Empire, which was built on Catholicism.
