Shakespeare's friend Michael Drayton: the other Warwickshire poet.

Shakespeare and Michael Drayton were probably colleagues - in fact these two local poets were perhaps even friends.

Between 1597 and 1602 they both worked with a company of actors called the Admirals' Men.

Shown here is Drayton's best-known work. It is a description of England in a 30-section poem called Poly Olbion.
