Shakespeare's entry in
the recent survey of local lands.
|
December 1612
William Shakespeare still holds property in Stratford
it
emerged yesterday.
Local surveyors have been assessing local lands.
The playwright is rarely seen in town these days,
but he
DOES retain the joint rights to tithes from corn, grain and
hay growing in fields at Old Stratford, Bishopton and
Welcombe.
He bought the rights in 1605 - they will expire in
1621.
