Each layer of soil is a time capsule!

This timeslice shows you that lots of history is hidden under your feet! The yellow pottery at the top is Victorian (100 to 150 years old). Underneath it you can see layers of Tudor and Medieval pottery (between 400 and 1,000 years old).

The Anglo Saxon objects are on top of the red Roman pottery (the Romans were here more than 1,600 years ago!)
