- That Anglo-Saxons invaded Britain and that the period of
invasion was followed by a period of settlement.
- To make inferences from archaeological evidence.
- That there are some things we can learn, and some we cannot,
from archaeological remains.
- To make deductions about who the grave commemorated.
- About the way of life of the Anglo-Saxons.
